Led by an expert local guide you will discover the small town of Fiesole, known as “The mother of Florence” . Why? Because Fiesole is where history started more than 2,500 years ago.
You’ll see the old traces of the Etruscans, the first to arrive here and create one of the most powerful cities of the past.
Fiesole was later conquered by the notorious Roman army which transformed the town in a prosperous center.
During this walking tour you will visit the Archeological Area where the Roman theater, thermal bath and the temple are still visible.
Moreover you will enjoy the authentic atmosphere of the medieval convent of S. Francesco where remarkable fifteen century cloisters and cells are open.
